Silverton Colorado July 4th 2006

Fourth of July is always great in the mountains of Colorado. Silverton has a home town parade and the best fireworks display in the west.

The city is nestled in the mountains near Durango and still has a narrow gauge railroad that delivers tourist to the small mountain town.

Picnics in the cool mountain air and walks down main street to the ice cream parlor make the fourth one of the best holidays of the year and a great time to be with family.

 
The home town feel and the great history here brings us back every year. When you visit here you feel as if you have stepped back in time to the days on gold mining and saloons.

They even have a gunfight on Blair street!

 
Alexandra and Valicity with their puppy Mitzsu on the over look near Silverton Colorado one of the spots that we love to take pictures at so picturesque. The air up here is cool despite the fact that we are here in the middle of the summer and the view is to die for making it a nice place to stop on the way to the parade in the morning.
